As a child…

Patti began singing at the age of two, with her sister, Leilani, she began singing regularly for church services and nursing home ministry, weddings and funerals. She learned to play the piano and accordion, and took clarinet lessons in school. She wrote her first song and sang it on her grandfather’s Christian radio program, where she was often a musical guest.

As a teenager…

Patti was selected for special choral groups throughout her schooling, including the All-State and All-Northwest Choirs. She and her sister, along with another pastor’s daughter, formed a trio called, “The Extensions,” winning the National Teen Talent Competition in Dallas, Texas in 1969, when she was just 16 years old. The Extensions recorded an album entitled, His Hands Extended, and traveled extensively throughout the Northwest, singing for church services, youth conventions, state fairs, banquets, and retreats. The album not only featured Patti singing a vocal solo, but also included the trio’s arrangement of one of her original compositions. Patti toured the United States and Caribbean with Revival time Choir and sang on Revival time’s worldwide radio broadcast for two years.

As an adult…

Patti recorded a solo album of her own songs in 1984 entitled, Hewn from the Rock.  She also made the soundtracks available for others to purchase and sing. Patti toured in the United States and Europe, singing in churches and appearing as a musical guest on Christian television programs. She has composed numerous songs over the years. Some have been for her own personal use, while other songs have been arranged for choir, worship, weddings, and funerals. Patti served as the Director of Music in her church for 26 years, writing and directing several Easter and Christmas musical presentations. Patti has recently recorded Source of Strength, a collection of devotional songs with music and Scripture beautifully interwoven, “to heal the heart and calm the soul.”
